"Sowie Śródziemie"  Prace Plenerowe

Already on Thursday first Tolk Folk fans started to arrive. Among the fans there was Mithrandir together with a LARP group. During the night the thunderstorm and the rain kept them away from sleep ( Melkor seemed to be very nervous;)). Yet, on Friday afternoon the Sun appeared ( Let's bless Valars ) and other participants started to arrive. On Saturday the weather was still, so on the camping site ( called "The Eye of Ama's Refuges" ) the characters originated in The Middle Earth appeard. You could see the Gondor's boys running among girls of Rohan, an ork , Hobbit and some Elvishes.. Before the official fan day started, the participants were shooting from a bow to a paper box ( a cellulose target ). Suddenly you could notice a commotion among Tolkien fellowships - "pea soup and dumplings were coming".

Everything was eaten very quickly and then The VI Hobbit Race began. 14 contestants took part during the race. Everybody was barefoot. This year there were two trick sections. On the one of them there was a need to find "the only one" hidden in the silt. The river has been replaced with the bucket of water. Inside the bucket there was a "palantir". The one who took the palantir out of water made him unable to disturb the participants to complete the competition and then the competition was automatically finished. Since the palantir was replaced with the ball, probably nobody was aware of the "real" meaning of the ball and everybody was pulling "the only one"out in spite of the ball's presence. The other trick task was placed among Smaug's treasures. To complete the task it was necessary to steal out one of Smaug's treasures and try not to activate "the alarm" ( the bells ). Most of the participants pulled out the treasure situated at the nearest place - it was a jar of coffee. But everybody who pulled the jar was disqualified. So, only 5 contestants completed the race. The first place was won by Sam Gaamge from Świdnica ( 77 points ), the second place was won by Linda from Prague and the third place was won by Jok from Busko Zdrój.


When the race was completed, then a Middle Earth wear competition took place with 11 participants. They try to present themselves and their wear in front of the jury. After a short deliberation the jury announced verdict. The first place was won ex equo by Kacper Boromir and Ork Tarbrethil. The second place was won by Tarin as Frodo Baggins and the third place was won by Joku as Balrog


Next there was a concert of The Fellowship of The Sober Hobbits. Jacek Waszkiewicz - the composer created the music for the texts presented on the one of Internet forums. Mona, as well as, Elek gave their performance supported by Preciosuss. At the end of the concert Adiemus - the author of "The Frisky Balrog" and, at the same time, the author of the play - " The Sauron's Misfortunes" performed a song Boromir's Sorrows". The play - Sauron's Misfortunes" was performed last year by "tolk folk" members. After a technical break ( and another portion of pea soup and dumplings ) there was a meeting and a concert performed by Tolkien's Association of Poetry from the Czech Republic. The songs were sung in native language, so everybody had a great fun.


After the concert it became gloomy and it started raining. But it didn't bother The Brothers of The Golden Tree and Boromir's Fellowship to present humorous scenes of "Lord of Rings" and present a show of sword fight (a staging of a fight between Earnur - the last king of Gondor and Nazgul's Ruler ). To make the show more attractive "The Brothers of Golden Tree introduced Earnur- Arciryan - the guard and Witch King - the Ork. Then there was a video and DVD presentation of the play -"Frisky Creation of Arda's Finished with Silmarils Stealing. It's a play by Adiemus and Aiweloose performed by Wieża ( The Tower ) - Tolkien's Section from Bielawa on April this year. During the DVD presentation Melkor let the participants know about himself and it started raining again. Luckily, Varda lighted her lights and forced Melkor to go away, so then it was possible to light a fire....................and, everybody kept on singing.
